When I can help people to change their lives for the better, I change my life for the better too.
I started my career in Healthcare in 1971 as an optometrist – Augenoptiker meister in German - and qualified teacher to train people to become an optician. First, as main branch manager from 1979, later in my own business from 1986, I thrive on helping people to improve their vision and hearing.
After surviving lymphoma cancer, I went back to study at the Academy for Acoustic in 1991 to qualify as hearing aid acoustician – Hoergeraeteakustikermeister in German - which again included the teaching qualification to train people to become hearing aid acousticians themselves.
In 1977, I immigrated to South Africa where I started my own company in Somerset West in March 1998. In the same year, I opened a branch in Hermanus and another one in 2001 in Vredendal.
From the beginning, working in healthcare, my priority and motivation was to help people to improve their quality of life.
Now, here in South Africa, it is my passion to help people to improve the chance of better communication through better hearing, better understanding, which is life-changing too.
In 1999, I was introduced to the health programme of Herbalife International which immediately caught my attention, due to the health concerns I had as a result of my long illness.
The opportunity to help people with nutrition or hearing for a better life is inspiring to me. There is so much to learn about healthy nutrition and it gives me great joy to share this knowledge with other people.
